For years, the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium has been inspiring people to connect with nature through their hands-on attractions. In fact, Calusa has been open since 1970, providing the residents and tourists of southwestern Florida with a unique and educational center. If you are looking for an exciting attraction that is perfect for the whole family, look no further than the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium.
One of the best attractions found at Calusa is the collection of rehabilitated animals from across the state. You will be able to see different critters such as alligators, birds of prey, exotic reptiles, raccoons, minks and more up close. Each resident of Calusa is native to Florida’s rich ecology. Come see how these animals were found injured in the wild and are now living their best life at Calusa.
